Insomniac's main Spider-Man will no longer be Peter Parker!
Miles Morales Will Be the Lead Spider-Man in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Here Are The Details
Table des matières
Marvel's Spider-Man universe is a huge passion among gamers and comic book fans. The Spider-Man games developed by Insomniac Games are an important part of this universe. However, recent news indicates a significant change in the Spider-Man universe.
Miles Morales Becomes Main Spider-Man
Marvel's Spider-Man games initially revolved around Peter Parker. However, Miles Morales' standalone game, "Miles Morales," brought the two superheroes together and eventually led to Miles Morales becoming the main Spider-Man in "Marvel's Spider-Man 2." According to the developers, this strategic decision was made "too early", and it looks like the future of the series will now focus on Miles Morales
An Important Scene: Miles Morales and Peter Parker
There's an important scene at the end of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 where Peter Parker passes the torch to Miles Morales. The importance of this transition is emphasized by the game's narrative director Ben Arfmann and writer Brittney Morris. Morris notes that this transition is always a natural development.
Morris also focuses on the character development of Miles Morales, exploring the many facets of Miles, from his uncertainty about his path to his embrace of his responsibility to save the city. In addition, scenes of Peter Parker supporting Miles become part of an emotional narrative.
The Dynamic Between Two Spider-Man
Writing a script for two Spider-Mans is both a challenging and exciting experience. Morris notes that Miles and Peter make a strong duo, with the other supporting when one is weak. This dynamic further enriches the development of the characters and their relationship. Arfmann explains that it was a conscious choice for Miles Morales to take on the role of Spider-Man full-time, and that they planned this choice from early on in the development process.
A New Era in the Spider-Man Universe
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 marks the beginning of a new era with Miles Morales as the main Spider-Man. This transition, in which Peter Parker passes the torch to Miles Morales, looks set to shape the future of the Spider-Man universe. This dynamic change has gamers excited and eager to see how Miles Morales will grow as Spider-Man and protect the universe.
