Ubisoft has teamed up with DreamWorks to bring Shrek into the free-to-play 2D fighting game Brawlhalla. The event kicked off on July 29 and will run until August 19.

Why Now?

This crossover celebrates the 25th anniversary of the first Shrek movie, released in 2001, which won the very first Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Earlier this year, Shrek also appeared in a football game. The Brawlhalla event is part of a series of appearances marking the anniversary. The fifth film in the series, Shrek 5, is set to hit theaters on June 30, 2027.
