Wildlight Entertainment has just dropped the massive Highguard Episode 2 update, sending waves of excitement through the community! Just two weeks after launch, the game welcomes its first new character, a competitive mode, and a sky city-themed map with this update.

Here’s what’s new in the Highguard universe as of February 6, 2026:

Highguard Episode 2: Rise of the Wolves

At the heart of this update is a game-changing "shapeshifting" ability that shakes up the core mechanics.

New Warden: Ekon (Beast Hunter)

Ekon joins the roster as the last of the Windwalkers and a legendary beast hunter.

• Wolf Form: Unlike other Wardens who ride mounts, Ekon transforms into a direwolf. This form boosts his speed, lets him track enemies by scent, and grants a special "bite" attack.

• Passive Ability (Dread): Ekon can sense the heartbeats of low-health enemies through walls.

• Ultimate (Fearsome Howl): Unleashes "Dread" on all enemies, exposing their locations and leaving them vulnerable.

New Map: Skydrift

Soar across floating islands and massive chain bridges in Skydrift, adding new verticality to gameplay. Thanks to the "Sky Jumpers" mechanic, you can even reach the cloud palace at the map’s highest point.

Ranked Mode Is Live!

Competitive players, your moment is here. Ranked mode is now available in a tactical 3v3 format.

• Ranks: Progress through 7 tiers, from Bronze (Hare) all the way up to Grandmaster (Leviathan).

• Reward: All players who complete 10 ranked matches will unlock the exclusive "Shadow Wolf" mount.
