PC gamers, the wait is finally over! After five years of anticipation and multiple delays, Capcom’s enigmatic action-adventure title Pragmata is now within reach. In a surprising move, Capcom has released a free playable demo (Sketchbook) for Pragmata on Steam.

This announcement came right after the official release date was revealed at The Game Awards 2025, catching the PC gaming community off guard.

Pragmata Is Finally Playable

Pragmata was first announced in June 2020, even before the PlayStation 5 hit the market. After several postponements from 2022 to 2023 and then to an unspecified date, many fans feared the third-person action-adventure game had been quietly cancelled.

But Capcom has broken the silence, unveiling a brand new trailer and confirming the official release date: April 24, 2026.

The best part: While the full game won’t launch until 2026, PC players can dive in now by downloading the free "Sketchbook" demo exclusively on Steam.

What to Expect from the Demo

The Steam demo offers players a brief taste of Pragmata with about 20 minutes of gameplay. Early feedback on Reddit is especially positive regarding PC performance.

Console Players, Don’t Worry

Although the demo is currently exclusive to Steam, Capcom has confirmed that Sketchbook will also be released on other platforms soon, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and even Nintendo Switch 2.
