Wildlight Entertainment has just dropped the massive Highguard Episode 2 update, sending a wave of excitement through the player base! Only two weeks after launch, the game now introduces its very first new character, a competitive ranked mode, and a sky city-themed map.

Here’s what’s new in the Highguard universe as of 6 February 2026:

Highguard Episode 2: Rise of the Wolves

At the heart of this update is the all-new “shapeshifting” ability, which brings a fresh twist to the gameplay.

New Warden: Ekon (Beast Hunter)

Ekon, the last of the Windwalkers and a legendary beast hunter, joins the roster.

• Wolf Form: Unlike other Wardens who ride mounts, Ekon transforms into a direwolf. In this form, he moves faster, can track enemies by scent, and unleashes a powerful “bite” attack.

• Passive Ability (Dread): Ekon can sense the heartbeats of low-health enemies even through walls.

• Ultimate (Fearsome Howl): Applies the “Dread” effect to all enemies on the map, leaving them vulnerable and revealing their positions.

New Map: Skydrift

Composed of floating islands and massive chain bridges, Skydrift adds a whole new vertical dimension to the game. With the “Sky Jumpers” mechanic, you can reach the cloud palace at the map’s highest point.

Ranked Mode Has Arrived!

The moment competitive players have been waiting for is here. Ranked mode is designed as a 3v3 format for a more tactical experience.

• Ranks: Progress through 7 tiers, starting from Bronze (Hare) all the way up to Grandmaster (Leviathan).

• Reward: Every player who completes 10 ranked matches will receive the exclusive “Shadow Wolf” mount.
