Listening to strong player feedback after the first "Expedition" (account reset), Embark Studios has introduced major changes for the second Arc Raiders Expedition. The extremely tough requirements like "5 million Coins" and the "dark pattern" mechanics that encouraged hoarding instead of spending valuable items have been completely reworked.

Here are the details of the new system announced on 5 February 2026 and launching on 25 February:

Arc Raiders: Second Expedition and the Reward Revolution

Developers agreed with players who said "we can't enjoy the game because we're forced to hoard coins" and have now lowered the requirements and introduced a "catch-up" system for those who fell behind.

Major Reduction in Reward Requirements

While the first Expedition required 1 million Coins for each Skill Point, this amount has now been significantly reduced:

• New Target: The total stash value needed for the maximum 5 Skill Points has been cut to 3 million Coins.

• Cost Per Point: Now, instead of 1 million, you just need 600,000 Coins for each point.

Catch-Up Mechanism

A discounted compensation system is available for players who missed the first Expedition or couldn't collect all points:

• Cheaper Skill Points: If you missed any points in the first round, you can buy them back for just 300,000 Coins per point.

• Total Point Potential: Thanks to this, players joining the second Expedition can reach up to 85 skill points in total, including catch-up points.

Second Expedition Rewards and Buffs

Joining the Expedition doesn't just mean more points – it unlocks both permanent and temporary benefits:

• Permanent Stash Expansion: Stash capacity increases from 12 to 24.

• Cosmetics: The "Patchwork" outfit gets new color options and attachments, and the all-new "Scrappy" outfit is now available.

• Stackable Buffs: For players who join multiple Expeditions, the XP bonus is now 10 percent, Scrappy material bonus is 12 percent, and repair value increase is 70 percent.
