The Statue Mystery: What Was Being Teased?

This strange monument in the California desert featured a tentacled, eye-like symbol at its center. The most popular theories until now included:

1. Elder Scrolls Online (due to the demonic/Daedric imagery).

2. Diablo 4 (possibly a new class or a shadowy expansion).

3. A completely new horror game.

But a trademark filing yesterday changed everything.

All Signs Point to Larian Studios

The strongest evidence yet came from two simultaneous trademark applications filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO):

1. Divinity Trademark: The same German law firm that previously handled Larian’s games filed a new trademark for a product named "Divinity." (Divinity is the RPG universe Larian is famous for with the Original Sin series, before Baldur's Gate.)

2. Visual Evidence: A second application by the same firm featured a logo with the very tentacled eye symbol found on the desert statue. The match is spot on!

This striking similarity all but confirms that Larian Studios and most likely a new Divinity game are behind the statue mystery.

Comments from Larian

Shortly after the leak, Larian Publishing Director Michael Douse posted cryptic messages on social media.

He later clarified, saying, "We have no plans for a new Divinity: Original Sin 3 at this time, but when we’re ready to show what we’ve been working on, we will."

This statement only fueled more speculation among fans: If it’s not Original Sin 3, could it be a brand-new Divinity RPG or a totally "wild and ambitious" project set in the Divinity universe?
