Embark Studios is kicking off 2026 with a bang, unveiling a massive four-month content roadmap called "Escalation". Promising to keep the action intense, this roadmap introduces new features and game dynamics every month from January to April.

Here’s what’s in store for the Arc Raiders universe through April 2026:

Arc Raiders "Escalation" Roadmap (January - April 2026)

Not just new maps—veteran players can look forward to exclusive systems, new enemy types, and upgrades for our winged companion Scrappy in the shelter.

January: Headwinds

The first update of the year answers one of the community’s biggest requests:

• Lvl 40+ Exclusive Matchmaking: High-stakes, high-reward matchmaking for top-tier players. This could be a real game-changer to filter out cheaters and bring experienced Raiders together.

• Small Map Condition: Adds a minor environmental twist to gameplay.

• New Player Project: A new construction project in the shelter (Speranza) will be completed with the help of the community.

February: Shrouded Sky

• New Map Update: One of the current maps gets a major overhaul.

• Flying Threat: A new ARC enemy type (likely airborne or hovering) enters the fray.

• Raider Deck: A new system similar to a battle pass, featuring fresh cosmetics and rewards, goes live.

March: Flashpoint

• Scrappy Update: Our beloved robot chicken/bird Scrappy is getting a major upgrade. Expect increased resource gathering or more interaction options.

• Lightning Strike: A new storm or lightning-themed map condition is being added.

April: Riven Tides – The "Biggest Drop"

April brings the most talked-about updates of the roadmap:

• Brand New Map: For the first time in five months, a completely new area is being added. Visual teasers hint at a beach or coastal setting, with sand and beach umbrella icons.

• Massive ARC (Boss): A "Large ARC" threat, even bigger than Matriarch or Queen, is coming. The community speculates this could be the gigantic "Emperor" seen near Blue Gate.

• Expedition Window: New exploration opportunities and map conditions will round out this major update.
