It’s time to say goodbye to Warzone Mobile, as the game failed to make its mark on mobile platforms.
It’s the end of an era in the gaming world! Activision has officially announced that the servers for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be permanently shut down on April 17, 2026.
This decision was made because the game failed to meet expectations due to optimization issues and its inability to match the success of the PC and console versions on mobile devices. Here’s everything you need to know about this farewell:
After being removed from stores and placed in "maintenance mode" in May 2025, the end is now officially in sight. Activision has marked April as the time to say goodbye for the remaining players.
Official Shutdown Date: April 17, 2026.After this date, server access will be completely disabled.
Account Status: Guest accounts and all data within them will be permanently deleted. However, if you use an Activision Account, your progress and inventory (for items supporting cross-progression) can still be used in other series titles (PC/Console Warzone and main CoD games).
Payments and Refunds: In-game purchases were halted in May 2025. Unused CP (CoD Points) will not be refunded, so it’s recommended to spend your points in-game by April 17.
According to Activision’s statement, the game “did not meet the expectations of mobile-first players”.
Technical Challenges: High system requirements and overheating issues on Android devices pushed many players away.
Competitive Pressure: Its sibling, Call of Duty: Mobile, offered a more stable performance and a wider range of content, leaving Warzone Mobile in the shadows.
Shift in Focus: Activision chose to allocate resources to more profitable Call of Duty: Mobile updates and the main Warzone platform.
