Two Free DLCs on Steam This October
Steam is giving away Rotwood’s Drakin Armoury Pack and MXGP 26’s Scrubdesignz Liveries pack for free until October 15.
Table of Contents
This October, Steam is giving away free content for two games. But keep in mind, these are not full games—they're exclusive free DLC packs for owners of Rotwood and MXGP 26.
Which content is free?
Klei Entertainment’s early access roguelike Rotwood is now offering the Drakin Armoury Pack for free. This pack adds a new playable Drakin race, a new two-handed sword weapon, and extra story content. Normally priced at $4.99, the pack is available at no cost to anyone who owns the base game.
For Milestone’s new motocross release MXGP 26: The Official Game, launched on October 1, the Scrubdesignz Liveries pack is also free. This is a cosmetic add-on, giving you new bike liveries without affecting gameplay.
Deadline and conditions
Both packs are available until October 15, 2026, at 19:00 CEST (10:00 AM Pacific Time). That means you don’t have much time—especially if you haven’t picked up Rotwood’s base game yet.
Important note: this isn’t a Steam Free Weekend, as the Steam Autumn Sale is already running during this period. Rotwood itself is on sale with 25 percent off, so you can grab the base game at a discount and claim the free DLC at the same time.
A realistic look
Even though both DLC packs are free, keep your expectations in check—they’re not new games, but rather small thank-you gifts for existing owners. Still, if you already own the base game, any free content is a win, and there’s no extra payment required.
Since Rotwood is still in early access, these small content drops seem to be part of Klei’s strategy to keep the community engaged while the game continues to develop.
Get your wallet ready before claiming the DLC
If you haven’t purchased Rotwood yet, you can instantly top up your funds with a Steam Wallet Code and add both the base game and the free DLC to your library at once.
