Lords of the End Times arrives September 24 with four new Legendary Lords and a massive free update.
Creative Assembly has announced the largest expansion in the ten-year history of the Total War: Warhammer series. Lords of the End Times launches on September 24 and promises what the studio calls a "catastrophic collection of curiosities."
This expansion adds four brand-new Legendary Lords to the Immortal Empires campaign, representing the Empire, Undead Legions, Warriors of Chaos, and Skaven factions. The Supreme Lord of the Undead, Nagash, aims to turn the world into the Land of the Dead and ascend to godhood. His campaign involves gathering the nine Mortarchs and recovering the lost Books of Nagash. His army can recruit units from the Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts, and Vampire Coast factions. The other three Lords are Thanquol, Boris Todbringer, and Glottkin, each offering unique strategies and Warhammer-inspired mechanics.
The DLC introduces new unit types like Khemric Titans, Verminlords, and Putrid Blight Kings. Creative Assembly highlights that this content not only brings new units but also lore-accurate features and a game-changing free update.
The free update launching alongside the DLC is described as one of the biggest ever for the series. At its core is Neferata, now a playable Legendary Lord. The Vampire Counts faction is getting a significant overhaul, and Archaon will receive new End Game scenarios.
| Option | Price (UK) |
|---|---|
| Single Legendary Lord pack | 7.49 GBP |
| All four Lords (bundle, 15 percent off) | 25.48 GBP |
Players can purchase each Legendary Lord individually or get all four in a bundle with a 15 percent discount. Pre-orders are now open for Windows and Mac via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.
One of the most notable changes is that, for the first time in the series, buying any DLC content gives you access to the massive Immortal Empires campaign even if you don't own any Total War: Warhammer base game. This move significantly lowers the entry barrier for newcomers. With the End Times conflict bringing years of tension to a climax, it's the perfect starting point for new players.
The expansion launches on September 24, 2026.
No. For the first time, purchasing any DLC content gives you access to the Immortal Empires campaign without owning any of the base games.
Both options are available. You can purchase them separately or get all four at once in a discounted bundle.
