Learn how to claim Citizen Sleeper and ROBOBEAT for free on Epic Games Store until June 25.
This week, Epic Games Store is giving away two free robot-themed games: Citizen Sleeper and ROBOBEAT. You can add both to your library and keep them forever if you claim them by June 25, 2026.
The weekly lineup refreshed on June 18 brings two unique titles, both unexpectedly centered around robots. One is a chill sci-fi RPG, the other is a fast-paced shooter.
| Game | Genre | Metacritic | Deadline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Citizen Sleeper | Narrative-driven RPG | 82 | June 25, 2026 |
| ROBOBEAT | Rhythm FPS roguelite | 83 | June 25, 2026 |
These are the 35th and 36th free games offered by Epic Games Store in 2026, making it one of the strongest weeks of the year as both games have scored highly with critics.
Citizen Sleeper is a narrative RPG developed by Jump Over the Age and published by Fellow Traveller, first released on May 5, 2022. You play as a "Sleeper": a digital being with a robotic body and a mind copied from a human, owned by a corporation. After escaping from the mega-corporation Essen-Arp, you take refuge on the rundown space station Erlin's Eye.
The gameplay is inspired by tabletop RPGs. Each day, you roll dice to find work, form alliances, and try to stay hidden from the corporation hunting you. As your body slowly deteriorates, your choices shape the story and your survival. If you enjoy it, the sequel Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector was released in early 2025.
ROBOBEAT delivers a completely different vibe. As Ace, a bounty hunter, you chase down the rogue robot showman Frazzer through ever-changing levels. The main mechanic is shooting in sync with the rhythm: shots fired on beat deal much more damage, while off-beat shots are nearly useless. Your crosshair pulses to the music, keeping you in the groove.
Movement is just as dynamic. Wall-running, sliding, double-jumping, rail-grinding, and grappling are all part of the action. With over 50 weapons, from classic pistols and shotguns to a ping pong paddle that launches balls at enemies, there’s plenty of variety. Each of the four main zones ends with a boss. One of the standout features is the built-in music editor: you can upload your own tracks in .wav, .mp3, or .ogg format and play in sync with your music.
Both games focusing on robots is actually a coincidence, not a specially organized event. Still, it’s turned out to be a surprisingly cohesive week. In one, you try to survive in a robotic body; in the other, you hunt down a rogue robot. A great combo for fans of mechanical themes.
