Star Fox: The Lylat System Reborn on Switch 2!

Nintendo surprised everyone today with an unexpected "Star Fox Direct" broadcast. Simply titled Star Fox, this new title goes back to the series’ roots, retelling the Star Fox 64 story with cutting-edge visuals and technology. Fox McCloud and his crew have never looked this realistic and animalistic!

Key Innovations and Gameplay

• Visual Revolution: Powered by Switch 2, all character models are fully reworked, with orchestral music and cinematic cutscenes. Fox, Falco, Peppy, and Slippy now look more detailed and vibrant than ever.

• James McCloud Prologue: The game now opens with a playable prologue featuring Fox’s father, James McCloud, adding a whole new level of story depth.

• Mouse Mode and Joy-Con 2: Take advantage of the new Switch 2 controller features with "Mouse Mode" for precise aiming and flight. Plus, local co-op lets you and a friend control the same Arwing as Pilot and Gunner.

• 4v4 Star Wolf Battles: Online, Team Star Fox and Team Star Wolf face off in epic 4v4 battles across classic locations like Corneria and Sector Y.

• Camera Filters (GameChat): Use the Switch 2 camera to project Fox or other team members’ faces onto yours as fun filters during chats.
