The Silent Hill remake developed by Bloober Team is reportedly aiming for a 2027 release, according to MP1st. The same report also revealed the first two names joining the cast.

Where did the 2027 claim come from?

The news broke on October 26 via MP1st, who credits insider Dusk Golem as the source. The project is currently using the codename Project Noise in casting calls. According to Dusk Golem, active development began in 2022.

Let’s be clear: Neither Konami nor Bloober Team have officially confirmed a release date. This is still a rumor, but MP1st has a strong track record with these kinds of leaks lately. Still, production timelines can always change, so take it with a grain of salt.

Who’s on the cast?

MP1st names two actors, both based in the UK:

• Gabrielle Fritz: Experienced in performance capture, previously worked on Battlefield 2042, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and Luna Abyss.
• Jade Matthew: Mostly known for TV roles, including Doctors, EastEnders, and Torchwood: The Story Continues.

It's not yet clear which characters they’ll be playing. MP1st speculates that they could be cast as female characters from the original game like Cybil Bennett, Lisa Garland, or Dahlia Gillespie, but that’s just a guess.

The main character remains a mystery. There’s no leaked info yet on who will play Harry Mason.

Konami’s plan for a new Silent Hill every year

The 2027 date actually lines up with Konami’s strategy. Series producer Motoi Okamoto told Famitsu they aim to release a new Silent Hill game every year. Looking at recent years, the plan seems to be on track:

• 2024: Silent Hill 2 remake (Bloober Team)
• 2025: Silent Hill f
• 2026: Silent Hill: Townfall

No other Silent Hill game has been announced for 2027, making the remake the most likely candidate. Bloober’s Silent Hill 2 remake performed well too. According to Konami, it sold 5 million copies worldwide as of January 2026. So it’s not surprising that the first game’s remake is also in their hands.

How to dive into the series while you wait

2027 is still a way off. In the meantime, you can get into the series by playing Silent Hill 2 remake or Silent Hill f. Both are available on PS5 and PC.

If you’re playing on console, you can top up your account with a PlayStation Store gift card. For PC, a Steam wallet code will do the trick. Check lotkeys for the latest prices.
