The legendary Wild West epic Red Dead Redemption from 2010 and its zombie-themed expansion Undead Nightmare are coming to current-gen consoles—including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2—as well as mobile platforms on December 2.

Rockstar emphasizes that these new versions are far more than simple ports. Here are the major technical enhancements awaiting players:

• Nintendo Switch 2:

Free Upgrade for Existing Owners!

Rockstar Games hasn’t forgotten its loyal fans. Players who previously purchased the game digitally on PS4, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox One (via backward compatibility) can upgrade to the PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2 versions for free online.

You’ll also be able to transfer your PS4 save data to PS5 and your old Switch save files to Switch 2, so you can continue your adventure right where you left off.

Debut on Mobile and Netflix

One of the biggest surprises is that Red Dead Redemption is coming to mobile for the very first time.

• iOS and Android: The game features mobile-friendly controls specially designed for compatible devices.
