Wildlight Entertainment has just dropped the massive Highguard Episode 2 update, sending waves of excitement through the community! Released only two weeks ago, the game now welcomes its very first new character, a competitive mode, and a brand-new map inspired by floating cities.

Here’s what’s new in the Highguard universe as of February 6, 2026:

Highguard Episode 2: Rise of the Wolves

At the heart of this update is the game-changing "shapeshifting" ability that redefines the core mechanics.

New Warden: Ekon (Beast Hunter)

Ekon joins the roster as the last of the Windwalkers and a legendary beast hunter.

• Wolf Form: Unlike other Wardens who ride mounts, Ekon transforms into a direwolf himself. In this form, he gains increased speed, can track enemies by scent, and unleashes a unique "bite" attack.

• Passive Ability (Dread): Ekon can sense the heartbeat of low-health enemies even through walls.

• Ultimate (Fearsome Howl): Applies the "Dread" effect to all enemies on the map, leaving them exposed and revealing their positions.

New Map: Skydrift

Skydrift introduces vertical gameplay with its floating islands and massive chain bridges. Thanks to the "Sky Jumpers" mechanic, players can reach the cloud palace at the highest point of the map.

Ranked Mode Is Live!

The wait is over for competitive players. Ranked mode is here, designed in a tactical 3v3 format.

• Ranks: Climb through 7 tiers, from Bronze (Hare) to Grandmaster (Leviathan).

• Reward: Every player who completes 10 ranked matches will earn the exclusive "Shadow Wolf" mount.
