Warframe: Tau expansion, new Warframe Brysko, and Soulframe’s Warsongs update were all revealed at TennoCon 2026. Get all the details here.
At TennoCon 2026, held July 10-11 in London, Ontario, Canada, Digital Extremes made major announcements for both Warframe and Soulframe. The event celebrated the franchise’s 11th anniversary, drawing thousands in person and millions more via livestream. The studio also revealed that Warframe has surpassed 85 million registered players worldwide.
The long-awaited Warframe: Tau expansion was finally unveiled, taking players beyond the Origin System to the brand-new Tau System star map. At the heart of this region is Fornax, a collapsed, crime-ridden industrial city. Here, you’ll face a new Sentient enemy faction called the Fornax Drowners and a new boss, The Hunra, voiced by Jonathan Bullock. The expansion also introduces the franchise’s first playable card game, Portau. Warframe: Tau will launch free on all platforms later in 2026.
Arriving with the Tau expansion, Brysko is a melee-focused Warframe who fights with brass knuckles, a pistol, and explosive playing cards. The update also brings new music by Canadian vocalist Jill Harris and a fresh set of cosmetics.
Big news also dropped for Soulframe, which remains in closed beta. The Warsongs update, set for fall 2026, will introduce a new story exploring the player’s childhood and the origins of the blue-sleeved Envoy powers. It also adds the Vadagar Pact, a new class themed around Wrath, Doom, and Death virtues, offering the first progression path to embrace dark powers (vesper). The long-anticipated mount system is coming too, letting players ride giant wolves and a corrupted horse. Plus, a relaxing new side activity called “vegan fishing” will allow players to catch and release fish while learning about wildlife. The new cast features Ben Starr (as antagonist Tempest Bayor) and Jennifer English (Eldveil Empress from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33).
Digital Extremes has reopened signups for Soulframe’s early access version, Preludes. Anyone who registers on the official website by July 12 at 11:59 PM (ET) will be granted access—making this the most open invitation yet. The studio has not announced a release date for Soulframe 1.0, stating that development continues based on community feedback.
The Warframe team will continue meeting players worldwide with TennoVIP World Tour 2026 events in South Korea, China, London, and Glasgow. TennoCon 2027 is set for July 16-17, 2027, once again in London, Ontario, marking the event’s 12th year.
