Embark Studios is kicking off 2026 with a bang, unveiling their four-month mega content schedule called "Escalation". This roadmap promises to keep the adrenaline high by adding new dynamics to the game every month from January to April.

Here are the major changes coming to the Arc Raiders universe by April 2026:

Not just new maps await, but also special systems for veteran players, new enemies, and exciting upgrades for our winged friend Scrappy in the bunker.

January: Headwinds

The first update of the year answers one of the community’s biggest requests:

• Lvl 40+ Exclusive Matchmaking: A high-risk, high-reward matchmaking option for top-level players. This could be a real game-changer to filter out cheaters and bring experienced Raiders together.

• Small Map Condition: An environmental twist that subtly impacts gameplay.

• New Player Project: A new construction project in the bunker (Speranza) that the community will complete together.

February: Shrouded Sky

• New Map Update: One of the existing maps will get a major overhaul.

• Flying Threat: A new ARC enemy type joins the battle, likely a hovering or flying model.

• Raider Deck: A new system similar to a battle pass, offering fresh cosmetics and rewards.

March: Flashpoint

• Scrappy Update: A major update is coming for Scrappy, the cheerful robot chicken/bird of the bunker. Expect improvements to resource collection or expanded interactions.

• Lightning Strike: A new "Map Condition" with a storm or lightning theme will be introduced.

April: Riven Tides - "The Biggest Bombshell"

April will bring the most talked-about content of the roadmap:

• Brand New Map: For the first time in five months, a completely new region is being added. The visuals hint at a coastal or wetland area, with beach and umbrella icons.

• Massive ARC (Boss): A "Large ARC" threat, even bigger than the Matriarch and Queen, is on the way. The community suspects this could be the colossal "Emperor" spotted near Blue Gate.

• Expedition Window: New exploration opportunities and map conditions will complete this major update.
