Wildlight Entertainment has just dropped the massive Highguard Episode 2 update, sending waves of excitement through the player community. Just two weeks after launch, the game welcomes its first new character, a competitive mode, and a brand-new flying city-themed map.

Here’s what’s new in the Highguard universe as of February 6, 2026:

Highguard Episode 2: Rise of the Wolves

At the heart of this update is the game-changing “shapeshifting” ability, bringing a whole new dynamic to gameplay.

New Warden: Ekon (Beast Hunter)

Ekon joins the roster as the last of the Windwalkers and a legendary beast hunter.

• Wolf Form: Unlike other Wardens who mount rides, Ekon transforms into a direwolf himself. This form boosts his speed, lets him track enemies by scent, and grants a special “bite” attack.

• Passive Ability (Dread): Ekon can sense the heartbeats of low-health enemies even through walls.

• Ultimate (Fearsome Howl): Applies the Dread effect to all enemies on the map, leaving them exposed and revealing their locations.

New Map: Skydrift

Composed of floating islands and massive chain bridges, Skydrift adds vertical depth to gameplay. With the new “Sky Jumpers” mechanic, you can reach the cloud palace at the map’s highest point.

Ranked Mode is Live!

The wait is over for competitive players. Ranked mode is designed for tactical action in a 3v3 format.

• Ranks: Seven tiers, starting from Bronze (Hare) up to Grandmaster (Leviathan).

• Reward: Every player who completes 10 ranked matches gets the exclusive "Shadow Wolf" mount.
