The full server browser Battlefield 6 players have been waiting for is coming in Season 5. Set up your own server, customize map rotation, and discover all the new features of Season 5 in this article
Battlefield 6 is finally getting the full server browser that players have been asking for since day one. EA and Battlefield Studios will launch the browser during Season 5.
Currently, the in-game browser is limited to the Portal mode. In the new version, you'll be able to select servers by mode, map, and region, set up your own server, and customize rules such as map rotation. DICE mentioned in the July Discord Q&A that the browser will make it easy to find or create servers for specific modes.
EA's June roadmap stated that official servers will be easier to distinguish, grant full progression, and be filled via standard matchmaking. There are also plans for a more persistent match flow to keep servers active, but no details yet.
Season 5 kicks off on October 13, but the server browser won't be available at launch. Most sources say "sometime during the season, no exact date yet."
According to GameSpot, the browser is expected in the third stage of Season 5, "Frozen Aces," launching December 8. The stages are as follows:
| Stage | Date (per GameSpot) |
|---|---|
| Siege of Las Vegas | October 13 |
| Casino Heist | November 10 |
| Frozen Aces (server browser) | December 8 |
I couldn't confirm these dates from other sources. The official season start time hasn't been announced yet, so check EA's official updates before making plans.
Full patch notes are expected to drop on October 12.
The server browser has been a staple of the Battlefield series for years. For those tired of queues and bot-filled lobbies, being able to play by your own rules is a much more flexible option. One note: DICE has said there are currently no plans for third-party server rentals, so you'll set up servers directly through EA's system.

No. The season starts October 13, but the browser will launch later in the season. GameSpot says December 8, but other sources haven't confirmed a date.
Yes, according to GameSpot, you'll be able to set up your own server and customize rules like map rotation. Third-party server rentals are not planned.
PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
For now, the only confirmed date is the Season 5 launch on October 13. The exact date for the server browser will be finalized with EA's official schedule.
