The anticipated Mass Effect collaboration for Battlefield 6 appears to have been canceled. N7-themed items found in the game files disappeared right after EA closed BioWare.

What happened?

A few weeks ago, players discovered Mass Effect items in the Battlefield 6 files, all themed around N7. Many believed this bundle was prepared for N7 Day on November 7.

Then, on October 21, EA shut down BioWare and canceled the new Mass Effect game. According to Kotaku, the Mass Effect items were removed from the game immediately after this decision.

As summarized by a player on r/LowSodiumBattlefield: the bundle "was gone after yesterday’s news."

What items were included?

The content found in the files included:

• N7 stickers and weapon decals
• N7 operator badges
• A spray paint
• A weapon skin
• A weapon charm shaped like the Normandy ship

The Normandy charm was the most talked-about item among fans, but it’s now gone from the game.

What does EA say?

No official statement has been made. MP1st reached out to EA but received no response. It’s unclear if the items are permanently canceled or might still arrive on November 7.

Our guess is that their return is unlikely. Selling a Mass Effect-themed bundle after BioWare’s closure would reflect poorly on EA and likely upset fans.

What’s next for Battlefield 6?

This cancellation doesn’t affect Battlefield 6’s plans. Reports say the game itself is unaffected by BioWare’s shutdown. Here’s what’s coming in the next months:

• Now: Season 5 "The Siege of Vegas" continues, with a Dead Space collaboration arriving this month.
• November: A new casino map set in Europe, multiplayer leaderboards, and balance changes.
• December: Server browser, Platoon system, and updates to two maps.
• 2027: Season 6.
