Aston Martin introduces the Dreadnought, a tactical SUV designed exclusively for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
On July 16, Aston Martin unveiled a brand new vehicle called Dreadnought in New York. This marks the brand’s boldest gaming collaboration yet: a fully digital, military-grade tactical SUV designed exclusively from the ground up for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
Unlike Aston Martin’s previous gaming partnerships, which usually adapted real-life supercars for virtual worlds, Dreadnought is different. Developed with Infinity Ward and Activision, this vehicle was designed entirely from scratch, free from the engineering and safety constraints of the real world. This gave the design team complete freedom to imagine what the future of the brand could look like.
Dreadnought combines Aston Martin’s signature Chiltern Green paint and iconic V12 engine sound with armored plating and all-wheel-drive military capabilities. According to Infinity Ward’s co-studio head Jack O’Hara, this is far more than a cosmetic addition—every detail, from concept to animation, geometry to in-game physics and drive systems, was meticulously crafted. Built for the harshest environments in Modern Warfare 4, it features the game’s most aggressive 4WD system and a massive fuel tank.
The name is no coincidence. HMS Dreadnought, launched in the early 20th century, was so revolutionary in weapons and propulsion that it redefined all battleship classes. The word “Dreadnought” literally means “fears nothing”—a legacy Aston Martin deliberately channels into this vehicle’s identity.
Dreadnought will be a drivable vehicle at launch in Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ mode and the free-to-play Warzone. Stefano Saporetti, Aston Martin’s director of brand diversification, says this partnership is a way to connect the brand with the luxury consumers of tomorrow. Even if most Call of Duty players won’t buy an Aston Martin today, early exposure to the brand among this massive gaming audience could pay off in the long run.
A full-size physical model of Dreadnought will be showcased at the Call of Duty booth during Fanatics Fest in New York. However, this doesn’t mean the vehicle will be produced in real life; Dreadnought will remain fully digital and will never be available at an Aston Martin dealership.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Battle.net, Xbox on PC, Steam), and Nintendo Switch 2.
If you want to get the game on Battle.net or gear up for Warzone content, you can top up your account funds without sharing credit card details. Prepare for launch day on October 23 by using a Blizzard gift card.
No, the vehicle will remain fully digital. Aston Martin has clearly stated that this is not a model available for sale in the real world.
The vehicle will be drivable at launch in DMZ mode and in the free-to-play Warzone.
No, but the company calls this its most ambitious gaming partnership yet; previous collaborations mostly involved adapting real-world vehicles for games.
