The latest trailer from Embark Studios reveals that the new Hurricane map condition is not just a visual spectacle but a game-changing physical threat.

Shrouded Sky: The Storm Arrives!

The trailer opens with spinning wind turbines and sealed clouds covering the sky (Shrouded Sky) under fierce winds. This new weather event will activate randomly on the map, bringing both great risks and rare opportunities for Raiders.

Wind and Movement Dynamics

Wind direction during a hurricane will be crucial:

• Tailwind: Players moving with the wind will run much faster and jump farther. A perfect advantage for quick escapes!

• Headwind: Running against the wind will greatly reduce your movement speed and drain your stamina rapidly.

• Projectile and Equipment Physics: Thrown grenades, smoke bombs, and even bullets will be affected by the wind's strength. You'll need to factor in wind direction, not just distance, when aiming.

New Threat: Debris That Disrupts Shields

The hurricane brings dust, dirt, and flying debris that not only limits visibility but can also damage your tech gear:
