Embark Studios is kicking off 2026 with a bang, unveiling their four-month mega content calendar called "Escalation". This roadmap promises to keep the adrenaline high, introducing fresh dynamics to Arc Raiders every month from January to April.

Here’s a look at the major changes coming to the Arc Raiders universe by April 2026:

Not just new maps await; veteran players can look forward to special systems, new enemies, and upgrades for our feathered friend Scrappy in the shelter.

January: Headwinds

The first update of the year answers one of the community’s biggest requests:

• Lvl 40+ Exclusive Matchmaking: A high-stakes, high-reward matchmaking option is coming for top-tier players. This could be a real game-changer to filter out cheaters and bring seasoned Raiders together.

• Small Map Condition: A new environmental twist will slightly impact gameplay.

• New Player Project: A new construction project in the shelter (Speranza) will be completed by the community.

February: Shrouded Sky

• New Map Update: One of the existing maps is getting a major overhaul.

• Flying Threat: A new ARC enemy type (likely airborne or hovering) will be introduced.

• Raider Deck: A new system similar to a battle pass, packed with cosmetics and rewards, goes live.

March: Flashpoint

• Scrappy Update: A major update is on the way for Scrappy, the cheerful robot chicken/bird in the shelter. Expect improvements to Scrappy’s resource collection capacity or new ways to interact.

• Lightning Strike: A new "Map Condition"—likely storm or lightning themed—will be added to the game.

April: Riven Tides - "The Biggest Drop"

April will feature the most talked-about content in the roadmap:

• Brand New Map: For the first time in five months, a completely new region is being added. The visuals hint at a beach or coastal area, with sand and beach umbrella icons.

• Massive ARC (Boss): An even larger "Large ARC" threat is coming, on par with or surpassing Matriarch and Queen. The community suspects this could be the colossal "Emperor" seen near Blue Gate.

• Expedition Window: New exploration opportunities and map conditions will round out this major update.
