The first wave of Xbox Game Pass in August already brought 10 new titles. Now, Microsoft has announced the second wave, adding another 10 games between August 18 and September 1.
Spotlight Game: Resonance
The highlight of this wave is undoubtedly Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. This prequel to the award-winning A Plague Tale series takes place 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem and follows Sophia, a young raider determined to uncover the secrets of her past. Unlike previous entries, Resonance shifts the focus from stealth to more action, featuring parry mechanics and finishing moves. What makes it stand out is that it’s not just an old title being added to the catalog; it launches day one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Other Notable Games
Vapor World: Over the Mind is a hand-drawn souls-like platformer about a boy pulled into a twisted dream, featuring a unique deflection-based combat system. Blood Dungeon is the latest project from Nidhogg’s art director Mark Essen, blending parkour and dungeon exploration for a roguelike Pac-Man experience. Aerial_Knight's DropShot throws you straight from a plane into the heart of chaos in a fast-paced, stylized action shooter.
Tier Differences
Not all 10 games are available on every tier. While Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers get access to nearly the entire lineup, the more affordable Game Pass Premium (formerly Game Pass Console) offers only six of these titles. Console-only players on the Premium plan should keep this in mind.
Leaving the Catalog
Alongside these new additions, some games will leave the catalog at the end of August. If you plan to play The Witcher 3, make sure to do so before it leaves the service on August 31.
