This week in GTA Online, you don't need to download the game itself, but there are plenty of in-game freebies to grab. The Halloween event kicked off on October 1, bringing weekly free outfits, mission rewards, and bonuses running until November 4.

What Does "Free Download" Really Mean?

When you see "free download" in headlines, it doesn't mean the game is being given away. Here, it refers to in-game items you can claim for free. Some are available to everyone, while others require a GTA+ membership.

• Available for everyone: Weekly free clothing and masks, weekly mission rewards, bonus multipliers.
• Exclusive to GTA+ members: Pegassi Oppressor with Skulls livery and several other vehicles and outfits.

Weekly Free Rewards for Everyone

Each week during the Halloween event, a different free clothing item is up for grabs. Here’s the schedule:

Complete all five weekly missions for an extra 2,000,000 GTA$. Some outfits may not appear automatically in your wardrobe, so you might need to pick them up at a clothing store like the first week's T-shirt.

Bonuses You Can Score This Week

• Ludendorff Cemetery Survival, Cayo Perico Survival, Alien Survivals, and Halloween Featured Series: 3x GTA$ and RP.
• Ghosts Exposed, Jack O' Lanterns, and UFO Business Battles: 2x GTA$ and RP.
• 40 percent off Agency properties, upgrades, and Halloween-themed vehicles.
• According to one source, completing five Payphone Hits this week earns you 500,000 GTA$ (payment may take up to 72 hours).

Free Oppressor for GTA+ Members

It’s a packed month for GTA+ members. The Pegassi Oppressor with Skulls livery is available via The Vinewood Car Club or Warstock website. You’ll also get the MTL Brickade 6x6, Manchez Scout C, Red/Orange Flip Chameleon paint, a few Halloween outfits, and Acid Lab supplies.

Members also get boosted multipliers in certain modes: 6x for Halloween Survivals, 4x for Jack O' Lanterns and Ghosts Exposed. The Oppressor is technically "free," but only for active members. I found this detail on GTA BOOM; Rockstar's official announcement doesn’t show it on the same page, so check the Vinewood Car Club screen in-game before claiming.

Keep Your Account Funds Ready on PC

If you’re planning to grab discounted vehicles or properties during the event, having funds in your account will make things easier. Since GTA V can be played on Steam for PC, a Steam Wallet Code is one of the fastest ways to top up your funds.
