Valorant Expands to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S

Valorant Launches on Next-Gen Consoles

Riot Games' free-to-play FPS game, Valorant, has officially launched on next-gen consoles. Following a successful open beta, the popular shooter is now available for download on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

A New Era for Console Gamers

After a period of limited beta testing, Riot Games has made Valorant accessible to console players. This 5v5 tactical shooter is now available in several countries, including Turkey. If you own a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S, you can download the game for free from the respective store.

Optimized Gameplay and New Features

Riot has optimized the gameplay for consoles, introducing a new Focus shooting mode that offers higher sensitivity and is somewhat similar to hip-firing. To maintain competitive integrity, there will be no cross-play between PC and consoles. However, all purchased or earned items will be accessible, and your progress will sync across all platforms. Riot has ensured parity in balance changes, added agents, maps, premium content, and other features across all platforms.

A Word from the Developer

Arnar Gylfason, Valorant's design director, stated, “We believe there are millions of players who want to play Valorant but currently can't, and we hope to change that by bringing Valorant to consoles. Our goal is to offer players the full Valorant experience and everything that entails—a tactical shooter focused on mastery and player expression, a team-based competitive environment where match quality and fairness come first, our unique and stunning ecosystem, high-quality items, and a community that values personal and competitive identity.”
