The world’s largest game streaming services are joining forces. According to recent claims, NVIDIA’s GeForce Now system is being integrated into Xbox consoles and the Xbox Cloud platform.

Is GeForce Now Coming to Xbox Consoles?

Last year, Microsoft’s attempt to acquire Activision Blizzard faced scrutiny and lawsuits from several governments. To complete the acquisition, Microsoft decided to take steps that would allow competition in cloud-based gaming services. Consequently, Microsoft partnered with NVIDIA to bring PC Game Pass titles to the GeForce Now system. Recent images suggest that this collaboration might expand further soon.

GeForce Now Integration with Xbox Game Pass

In the past few months, Xbox allowed PC Game Pass users to access many games via GeForce Now. The new images indicate that the partnership with NVIDIA might soon extend to consoles as well. Many users have reported seeing the option to play games like Street Fighter 6, Resident Evil Village, and Call of Duty Warzone through GeForce Now on their Xbox consoles. This implies that Microsoft might soon offer access to the GeForce Now service via Xbox consoles.

Partnership Success and Competitive Dynamics

Although NVIDIA and Microsoft have achieved a successful partnership, GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming remain competing platforms. GeForce Now leverages RTX graphics cards, providing features such as 4K resolution, HDR video streaming, and 240FPS, whereas Microsoft’s service uses Xbox Series X consoles, offering FHD resolution and 60FPS streaming. Therefore, the new GeForce Now option appears to be a strategic marketing move benefiting NVIDIA. Neither Microsoft nor NVIDIA has commented on the new images, but they suggest that new features might be added to the Xbox Cloud Gaming service soon.
