Street Fighter 6 players can claim a movie-themed costume for Zangief for free, just days before the new Street Fighter film hits theaters. The costume code will be available starting October 16.

What’s Included?

The freebie is a special Zangief costume inspired by the upcoming movie. The costumes were first announced by IGN during IGN Fan Fest: Fall. According to reports, Capcom is releasing the codes. The Zangief code will be up for grabs on October 16, and Game Bastion confirms it will work across all platforms.

Details on where to get the code and how to redeem it in-game are being finalized on IGN Fan Fest’s pages. There’s no clear info yet on whether the code will be available indefinitely, so it’s best to claim it as soon as it’s live on October 16.

What About Honda and Dhalsim?

Zangief isn’t the only one getting a new look. Movie-themed costumes for E. Honda and Dhalsim have also been teased. According to Game Bastion, Guile and M. Bison costumes have already been showcased, and more will be revealed later this month through an online “hunt” event. It’s still unknown how players will unlock the Honda and Dhalsim costumes or whether they’ll be free or paid.

When Is the Movie Coming Out?

Paramount and Legendary’s new Street Fighter movie is set to premiere on October 16, 2026. The cast features Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Oliver Richters as Zangief, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Cody Rhodes as Guile, and David Dastmalchian as M. Bison.

Is It Worth It?

Free cosmetics are always a win, but this one is especially cool for those who love playing as the powerhouse Zangief. The costume only changes appearance and doesn’t affect gameplay. The real question is how Capcom will handle the Honda and Dhalsim costumes.
