Early Black Friday Deals for Switch 2 Owners: First Discounts Hit Stores
The first Black Friday discounts on Switch 2 games, bundles, and accessories have arrived weeks before the big day. See what's on sale and if it's worth waiting for console deals.
Table of Contents
The first early Black Friday deals for Nintendo Switch 2 have arrived in US stores. While the main Black Friday event falls on November 27, 2026, Amazon and Best Buy have already slashed prices on select Switch 2 games and accessories.
Which games are on sale?
According to Tom's Guide, the most notable discounts are currently on Amazon. The percentages below are based on list prices and may fluctuate throughout the day.
| Game | Store | Approx. Discount |
|---|---|---|
| Sonic X Shadow Generations | Amazon | 50% |
| EA Sports Madden NFL 27 | Amazon | 39% |
| Metroid Prime 4: Beyond | Amazon | 26% |
| Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection | Amazon | 20% |
| Resident Evil Requiem | Amazon | 14% |
Best Buy is also offering minor discounts on new Switch 2 games. Since it's rare to see price drops on Nintendo's own titles, Metroid Prime 4 stands out as the top deal here.
Console and bundles
There are no true Black Friday discounts on the console itself yet. The suggested retail price for Switch 2 in the US was increased on September 1, 2026, and stores are still selling close to this price. The best deals are in bundles:
- Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle: Available at Best Buy with a small discount.
- Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle: Discounted at Best Buy.
- Accessories: 8BitDo controllers, microSD Express cards, and carrying cases are 15% to 22% off at Amazon.
If you're considering buying a console, it might be wise to wait until November 27. Last year, the Mario Kart World bundle saw a price drop on Amazon during Black Friday week.
What should you watch out for when shopping?
- Game-Key Card: Some Switch 2 games come with a key card instead of a full game cartridge. You'll need to download the game online using this card, so check the box for this note.
- Region compatibility: eShop gift cards are region-locked. Make sure the card's region matches your Nintendo account.
- Price history: During Black Friday, some products may have their prices raised before being shown as discounted. Use price tracking tools to check historical prices.
