Embark Studios is kicking off 2026 with a bang, unveiling a four-month mega content schedule called "Escalation". This roadmap promises to keep the adrenaline high by introducing new gameplay dynamics every month from January through April.

Here’s what’s in store for the Arc Raiders universe through April 2026:

It’s not just about new maps; seasoned players can expect exclusive systems, new enemy types, and upgrades for our "winged" friend Scrappy in the shelter.

January: Headwinds

The first update of the year answers one of the community’s biggest requests:

• Lvl 40+ Exclusive Matchmaking: A high-risk, high-reward matchmaking option for top-tier players. This could be a true game-changer for filtering out cheaters and bringing experienced Raiders together.

• Small Map Condition: A new environmental twist that will subtly affect gameplay.

• New Player Project: A new community-driven construction project kicks off in the shelter (Speranza).

February: Shrouded Sky

• New Map Update: One of the existing maps is getting a major overhaul.

• Aerial Threat: A new ARC enemy type (likely flying or hovering) is being added to the game.

• Raider Deck: A new system similar to a battle pass, offering fresh cosmetics and rewards.

March: Flashpoint

• Scrappy Update: Our beloved robot chicken/bird Scrappy is getting a major update in the shelter. Expect an increase in resource gathering capacity or new ways to interact with Scrappy.

• Lightning Strike: A new "Map Condition"—possibly storm or lightning themed—will be introduced.

April: Riven Tides - The "Biggest Bombshell"

April will feature the most talked-about content of the roadmap:

• Brand New Map: For the first time in five months, a completely new region is being introduced. The visuals hint at a coastal or beach setting, with icons like umbrellas and sandy shores.

• Massive ARC (Boss): A "Large ARC" threat, even bigger than Matriarch or Queen, is coming. The community suspects this could be the gigantic "Emperor" seen near Blue Gate.

• Expedition Window: New exploration opportunities and map conditions will round out this major update.
