Project Motor Racing 2.1: Free Holden Commodore and Triple Screen Support Arrive

Straight4 Studios and Giants Software have released the 2.1 update for Project Motor Racing. This update introduces a free DLC pack, a major overhaul for the GT3 and GT4 classes, and the long-awaited triple screen support for PC players.

Free Aussie Rivals Pack

  • 2013 Holden Commodore VF (newly added car)
  • 2013 Ford Falcon FG (completely reworked version)

These two cars bring one of Australia’s most iconic motorsport rivalries to the AUS V8 class. This era, representing the final local Holden-Ford rivalry before Holden switched to the imported ZB Commodore body in 2018 and local car manufacturing ended, has previously appeared in various Forza Motorsport titles, iRacing, and 2014’s Grid Autosport, but never in Gran Turismo.

Major Changes to GT3 and GT4 Classes

  • Vehicle behavior, Balance of Performance (BOP), suspension, and gear ratios have been reworked
  • Inertia, center of gravity, and turbo behavior updated
  • Aerodynamic sensitivity and tire performance recalibrated
  • Brake temperature and brake duct adjustment options added

Due to these extensive changes, previously saved car setups may no longer work as expected; the game now offers new default setups for this transition.

Other Highlights

  • Triple screen support: In alpha on PC, one of the most requested community features
  • VR improvements: Expanded configuration options, with more enhancements planned for later this summer
  • Logitech Trueforce support: Now enabled on all platforms
  • Join-in-Progress: Ability to join races already in progress
  • Ranked Racing notification system and AI opponent updates

Bouncing Back After a Tough Launch

Project Motor Racing received mixed reactions at its release in November 2025. Since then, Straight4 Studios has continued to improve the game with regular updates. Studio CEO Kevin Boland stated that players keep racing and sharing feedback, which drives the team to keep making PMR better.
