NASCAR 26 launches September 18 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Experience dynamic tracks, AI failures, and the brand-new Chase mode.
iRacing Studios and NASCAR have announced that NASCAR 26 will launch on September 18, 2026 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. The first developer diary details major changes coming to the game.
Races now begin on a "green" track at the start of the weekend. As practice, qualifying, and the race progress, the track evolves, opening up more racing lines and forcing players to find new strategies for the best chance to win. This system directly affects grip levels and how your car handles over time.
AI drivers can now experience mechanical failures and retire from races (DNF). Unlike previous games where AI almost never dropped out, this adds a new layer of realism and unpredictability to every race.
The game brings the new Chase format—making its debut in the NASCAR Cup Series this year—into NASCAR 26. This mode is available as part of both season and career modes, as well as a standalone Chase mode, letting players select their drivers and tackle the final ten races of the season.
Current NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson is featured on the cover. Gameplay footage and pre-orders go live on July 29. Gold Edition buyers get early access on September 15, three days before the standard launch.
If you want to play on PC, you can top up your account without sharing credit card details. Get ready for pre-orders on July 29 and the official launch on September 18 by using a Steam Wallet Code.
