Fall damage is no longer fatal in Fortnite. Discover the latest Overwatch patch and all the details.
Fortnite is a game where building skills and vertical battles take center stage. For years, knocking down enemy towers and eliminating opponents with fall damage has been a top strategy. But with its latest patch, Epic Games is shaking up this dynamic from the ground up.
Lower Death Risk: Now, even if you crash down from the highest point on the map or the top of a massive skyscraper with no protection, as long as your health is full, you won't be sent straight back to the lobby. Even the most extreme falls will only leave players with a maximum of 99 damage.
Strategic Softening: This update lets players build sky-high endgame bases and move fearlessly. Destroying enemy structures is still an advantage, but it's no longer a guaranteed knockout.
Faster Gameplay: Players can now dive into vertical battles more boldly, with less fear of falling.
While Fortnite is making headlines, Blizzard has also released a major balance and content update for Overwatch. This patch reshuffles character roles in the meta and aims to reinvigorate the competitive arena.
Tank Role Strengthened: Frontline tanks now have improved shield capacity and increased crowd control (CC) resistance, making them more survivable in team fights.
Support and Damage Balance: Popular DPS heroes have had their burst damage slightly toned down, while support heroes now have more tactical cooldowns on their healing abilities.
