Escape Academy 2 Launches Day One on Game Pass: Open World Co-Op Escape Room Adventure
Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School arrives on Xbox Game Pass November 5. Explore an open campus, solve escape rooms, and play co-op online or split-screen with a friend.
Table of Contents
The co-op puzzle game Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School is joining Xbox Game Pass on day one, November 5, 2026. The game will also be available for purchase on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on the same day.
What is Escape Academy 2?
The first game combined escape room mechanics with a school-themed story. The sequel takes things further, calling itself the "first open world escape room game." The school campus now acts as a hub filled with secret passages, traps, and side quests.
The story revolves around a dark mystery tied to the founding of the school. Familiar teachers return alongside new characters joining the cast.
- Hand-crafted escape rooms: A variety of unique puzzle rooms throughout the main story
- Open campus: Discover hidden areas between rooms
- No-timer mode: Solve puzzles at your own pace without time pressure
- New soundtrack: Music composed by DJ Doseone
Co-op options
The game's biggest strength is playing with a friend. Escape Academy 2 supports both online co-op and local split-screen co-op. You can also play solo if you prefer. Since escape room games are more fun with two players, this feature is a perfect fit.
This title is a great pick for couples or friend groups who enjoy solving puzzles together. The no-timer mode is also a comfortable alternative for those who don't like time limits.
