Activision has officially announced the multiplayer beta dates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The beta will take place over two separate weekends in August, about two months before the game's release on October 23.

Nintendo Switch 2 owners cannot join the first weekend, as pre-orders for Switch 2 begin on August 26, after the early access period ends. Switch 2 players can jump right into the open beta.

Call of Duty Next Event

The beta kicks off right after the Call of Duty Next live stream on August 21. The event will showcase live gameplay, in-depth multiplayer details, developer insights and fresh announcements ahead of the beta. Activision hasn't fully revealed which weapons, Operators, maps and modes will be available in the beta yet, but it's confirmed the game will launch with 19 weapons.
