The dev team described designing this map as an "exciting challenge" for their level designers.

New ARC Threats

Frozen Trail introduces new types of ARC enemies, ranging from pesky small machines to a massive threat capable of stopping your progress entirely. Embark notes that these dangers will appear both above and below ground, pushing Raiders into environments never seen before. The update also brings a new high-level ARC Operation designed for experienced players, focused on teamwork, dynamic encounters, and tough decisions.

Progression System Overhaul

Embark has recognized that the most rewarding raids come from meaningful choices, so they're revamping the progression system:

• Outpost: A new personal space in addition to the Raider Den. Players can decorate it, research world elements, and take their first steps toward reclaiming the surface.
• Redesigned Skill Tree: Updated to give players more control over their Raider’s development.
• Raider Deck changes: The system is being made more engaging and rewarding.
