PC gamers, the long wait is finally over! After five years of anticipation and multiple delays, Capcom’s enigmatic action-adventure title Pragmata is now within reach. In a surprising move, Capcom has launched a free playable demo (Sketchbook) for Pragmata on Steam.

This exciting update came right after the official release date was revealed at The Game Awards 2025, catching the PC gaming community by surprise.

Pragmata Is Finally Playable

Pragmata was first announced back in June 2020, even before the PlayStation 5 hit the market. After being postponed from 2022 to 2023 and then to an uncertain future, many fans feared the third-person action-adventure game had been cancelled.

Capcom has now broken the silence by unveiling a new trailer and confirming the official release date: 24 April 2026.

The real surprise: While the full release is set for 2026, PC players can already download and try out the free demo called "Sketchbook" on Steam.

What to Expect from the Demo?

The Steam demo offers players a taste of the game with around 20 minutes of content. Early feedback on Reddit is especially positive about its PC performance.

For the first time, players can experience Pragmata’s unique atmosphere through this demo.

Console Gamers, Don’t Worry

While the demo is currently exclusive to Steam, Capcom has confirmed that Sketchbook will also be available soon on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and even Nintendo Switch 2.
